We just went through our first named storm. Tropical Storm Georgette. She was, to say the least, understated. In fact, by the time she hit San Carlos, she had been dropped from a tropical storm to a tropical depression. That's not to say she didn't throw her weight around. Steady winds of about 22 or 23 mph with gusts that our system recorded of 34. And rain? Yes, it did that too. So much rain so quickly that all the surface dirt and mud in the surrounding mountains washed into the bay and turned it brown, with the consistency of......well......sludge.
All in all, Georgette was just about as small a storm as you can be and still have a name, but we were happy to get her visit. Honestly, it is the first time i have felt cool since the beginning of June. Quite pleasant.
Irish Diplomacy of course held up just fine as you would expect she would. We didn't even take down our canopy, which was a good thing, because even after I scrubbed, and scrubbed and scrubbed at it in Santa Rosalia, I just couldn't get all the bird crap stains out..
Likely going to be shooting some more video this weekend, this time of the San Carlos area so will extract some images and start populating the Ports of Call page, and yes, there will be more images coming to the Image Gallery soon as
